Welcome!
This year we have unanimously chosen the theme of “Farming for the Future” for the upcoming Fall Fair. We feel that this truly represents the efforts of all of us in agriculture. Whether we are gardeners growing fruit and vegetables, beekeepers, ranchers raising beef or pork or lamb or goat or chicken, vendors at the markets, backyard gardeners, farmers growing hay and grain to sell to their neighbours, supply stores that bring in what we need, consumers that buy local food, or any food, milking goats and cows, picking berries and other edibles; the list is endless and it means that in some way we are all involved in agriculture.
To
celebrate our theme this year we are continuing to expand the activities
– a few of the highlights that are already in place include an expanded
indoor arena program with new competitions, the return of the sheep and
goat show and demonstrations and the ever popular Taste of the North Cariboo
Dinner. In the outdoor arena there will be an expanded horse show that will
also include draft horses and driving; more activities have been planned
for the outdoor green space including some old fashioned fun like seed spitting
and pie eating. We've kept all the best and added some new excitement! Stay
tuned to this website for more information on new and upcoming events, as
well as an event schedule.

Great deliberation and debate took place before the QAEA board made the determination that due to a lack of operational funds, volunteers and broad interest from the community, it would not be financially prudent to proceed with this year's fair.
